1915 - Dover at War

  • 1 — 2 August 2015 10am-5pm

Start the Summer holidays with a bang at the launch of our brand new World War One exhibition, including an original and firing anti-aircraft gun. Witness the spectacle of the cavalry as they train for the battlefield with sword and rifle. Enjoy the atmosphere and sing along to the sounds of the Edwardian dance hall. Little soldiers can run off some energy in the new trench maze and take part in the army drills.

Learn about the first aerial reconnaissance and sit in the incredible replica bi-plane. Gaze skywards for the falconry display and make a traditional toy with Edwardian toymakers. Make sure you visit the soldiers and their trusty steeds in the stables and don’t miss the power of our new gun as it fires across the Channel.
