The Wandle Industrial Museum is the only purely industrial museum in this part of Greater London, possibly in the South East. We are proud to display the evidence which establishes that the River Wandle was, in its day, the most industrialised river in Europe.
Currently we are arranging for the move from our base in the Vestry Hall annex in Mitcham, to the much larger premises at Ravensbury Mill, which has been made available to us by the good offices of Merton Council, and Fairclough Homes, and which, as an example of the industrial premises on the Wandle, with working water wheels, will provide a practical example of the exhibits.
