Opened in 1908 this fine Edwardian building houses West Sussex's largest museum. Permanent displays include archaelogy, one of the UK's largest costume collections, local history and decorative art. Over ten temporary exhibitions a year from contemporary art to themed displays. Varied events programme including Local History Day, Family Art Day's and Fashion and Textile events as well as demonstrations and workshops for adults and children.

SUSS6, Layers of contemporary art.

Join us from Saturday 10 October to Saturday 30 January 2016 for the SUSS6, Layers of contemporary art exhibition. The exhibition showcases paintings and mixed media art work by six Sussex based contemporary artists exhibiting for the first time at Worthing Museum. The six artists that will be exhibiting are Mark Charlton, Sarah Marzaioli, Rhoda K Baker, Sue Barnes, George Antoni and Alan James McLeod.

Photo dating with Jayne Shrimpton

Bring your old photos and join us on 28th November for the chance to learn about photo dating, and even have a go yourself in a one to one session with Jayne Shrimpton, Professional dress historian and picture specialist.
