Paper Scissors Stone: Taking Paper Beyond the Page

An imaginative and thought-provoking collection based around the re-shaping of paper, narrative and meaning. Paper forms, including books, newspaper and other objects or settings re-interpret both the materials and world around us. Five artists with different yet complementary styles deliver an exciting and engaging exhibition. Featuring artists Janie Graham, Jo Howe, Chris Lee, Caroline Lumb and Hillary Taylor.

Watford During the Great War 100 Years On: 1915

  • 6 August — 26 September 2015

The second in a series of annual exhibitions commemorating the 100 year anniversary of the First World War. The story is being told as it was reported in Watford in 1915, through words and pictures taken from local newspapers and personal letters. There will also be a focus on the Lusitania and its impact on a local family.

Papermouth Rootsfest2

Papermouth will be hosting their second Rootsfest at Watford Museum! Expect a great selection of folk and roots music including Nick Stephenson, Sian Magill, Neil Stanton, Montmartre, Jim Kirby, Rae Kelly and Strange Folk. Not to mention a drinks bar and free entry!

Sensational Summer Crafts

Get creative this summer in our family workshops, Make a mascot, design your own coronet or print a dragon puppet. Workshops take place every Thursday morning in August, 10.30am - 12.30pm. £1 per child, all ages welcome and no booking necessary.
