Space2 'Aware' Ella Carty & Hideki Arichi Exhibition
- 8 November — 20 December 2014 *on now
Aware (pronounced: a-wah-ray) - a Japanese word meaning 'a sensitivity to things'. The word comes from the expression 'Mono no aware' (mo-no no a-wa-ray) which can be translated as 'an empathy towards things' or 'a sensitivity to ephemera'. In this exhibition, Ella Carty and Hideki Arichi respond to this theme using painting and printmaking, examining this very Japanese idea.
Artist Talk and Private View on Saturday 8 November 1pm. Booking Essential.

Art in the City - Adult Art Class
- 10 January — 14 February 2015
This six week, mixed media art class will use drawing, painting and experimental creative processes to take participants on a journey of discovery. Inspired by the theme of 'urbanity', Space2 Gallery's January - February exhibition, we will draw on Watford museum's collections and our daily experiences of the city to create individual artworks.
