All information is drawn or provided by the venues themselves and every effort is made to ensure it is correct. Please remember to double check opening hours with the venue concerned before making a special visit.
The museum was opened in 1976 and is run entirely by volunteers. It gained full registration under the new museum and galleries commission scheme in 1992. The association serves as a focus for research and enquiry and provides a repository for artefacts connected with the area.
Exhibitions cover the Cinque Ports and Smallhythe, a Victorian room, a tapestry room, hope growing and harvesting, and local buildings, with examples of mathematical tiles and king posts.
