Stevenage Museum is a lively community service working with local people and groups to present a full programme of projects, exhibitions and events.

Our permanent displays show life in the town from pre-history to the present day. You can time travel with Sam on a trail for the under eights. Use a touch screen computer to access the photographic collection. Listen to oral history recordings recalling the history of the town and its people. Visit our 1950's kitchen and lay the table for tea.

Family Saturdays

Enjoy Saturday art and craft activities for all the family, each week with a different seasonal theme. Sessions are drop-in and children must be accompanied by an adult. Sessions take place once a month on a Saturday, 14.00-16.00.

Join in the fun with stories, art and craft, games and a snack, with each week taking a different theme. Sessions are monthly on a Monday between 13.30 and 14.30.

How to obtain

Booking in advance is essential and sessions cost £1 per family.
