Saffron Walden Museum

This award-winning, "friendly, family-size museum" is set in an enclosed grass meadow, suitable for picnics, with a small car park and access for disabled visitors. It stands beside the ruins of the 12th century Walden Castle.

Almost all exhibition areas are accessible to wheelchair users. Visitor facilities include dedicated parking, ramps, a lift, stairlifts, sound loops at the entrance desk and in the lecture and teaching spaces. There is a unisex adapted WC, which also has baby-changing facilities.
