Guildford House Gallery is a Grade I Listed 17th Century Town House in Guildford Town Centre and has been the home of Guildford Borough's Art Gallery since 1959. The programme incudes a series of temporary exhibitions, workshops, talks and tours.

Colourful Occasions - Original costume from the Marion May Collection

Guildford House Gallery welcomes back Marion May with her beautiful collection of vintage costumes.
Colourful Occasions 1800 - 1950, uses a palette of blue, pink and green to depict special events for ladies living in the town and country.
Costumes will illustrate events such as 'a picnic at Boxhill', 'a London fashion show of 1939', 'a visit to the Kit Kat club' in the 1920s, and a dress that is thought to have been worn to a presentation of the 'last debutantes at Buckingham Palace'.

Downland by Chris Forsey

Guildford House Gallery welcomes local artist Chris Forsey with his charming collection of paintings inspired by the Downs.
Chris, who has been a professional painter for twelve years following a career as an illustrator, has used the Downs as a source of inspiration for his paintings ever since moving to Dorking in the late 1980s.
Using a combination of acrylic, mixed media and watercolour, Chris captures the changing moods of this beautiful landscape through the seasons.
