Dover Museum is a local history and archaeology museum situated in the town centre of Dover, Britain's historic port town. It is home to the Dover Bronze Age Boat, the world's oldest known seagoing boat and a fascinating archaeological discovery. It is a modern museum which tells Dover's rich and important history through the museum's fine collection, including a splendid archaeology collection; clear and legible illustrated panels (with French precis); models and replicas, including a wonderful set of scale models showing the development of the town and port of Dover from the Roman times up to 1990; informative computer displays, which include games and interactives for all ages; and access to an illustrated database of the museum's reserve collection.

The cost of the workshop is £2.50 per pupil, £2.25 per pupil for schools from the Dover District Council area. Accompanying adults are free. This includes a free visit to Dover Museum before or after the workshop.

Tudor Festival for Schools

Come and spend a day experiencing Tudor Life at Dover Museum.
During the course of the day pupils will have the opportunity to visit Dover Museum and see the Tudor artefacts and paintings, have a talk and artefact handling session and take part in 2 one hr workshops :-
A Tudor drama workshop on everyday life in the Tudor period and a tudor block printing workshop
or a music workshop with an active hands on guided tour of Tudor musical instruments and learn about toys and games and make a card version of the popular game Merrels to take away.
All children and accompanying adults to come dressed as Tudors.

The cost for the Tudor Festival is £4.50 per pupil with accompanying adults free.
