The Award winning Museum is housed in three Victorian canalside warehouses, converted by Dr Barnardo into a ragged school. Visitors to the Museum today can take a journey through the history of the region as well as experience what it was like to be taught over one hundred years ago by 'stepping back in time' to the atmospheric recreated Victorian classroom.

  • 12 — 13 April 2017 10am-5pm

The Pastimes of Victoria Park
Victoria Park has played a large role in the story of the East End. As well as the usual place of play and relaxation, it’s been a space for community and protest, even war and art.

Join us this Easter at the Ragged School Museum for our Family Activities and discover the delights of London’s oldest public park and why the Victorians of the East End loved it so!

Art activities will be on offer throughout the Museum, the Victorian classroom will also be open to peruse, as well as the East End Kitchen, Under 5s Ragamuffin Room and the Towpath Café for those parched grown-ups!
