Materia Medica

Materia Medica - the materials for making medicine - is a historical collection of plants used for producing pharmaceuticals over the years. This collection of crude drugs and botanics was built up by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain for teaching and displaying in its museum. Having been handed over to the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew in 1983, highlights of the collection can now be discovered online.
