The winners have been announced in the Copeland Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, organised by The Beacon in Whitehaven.

In the Adult category, Christine Redgate of Haverigg won the top prize with a classically romantic picture of a swan, A Knight On White Satin, which was taken at Hodbarrow Nature Reserve.

In the Junior category Holly McGrady of Whitehaven won with her quirky image of a seabird, Where’s all the snow gone? which was taken at Dalton–in–Furness.
