Visitors to the venue will be able to see all these and more on Friday night (January 20), when a selection of telescopes – positioned outside the Courtyard Garden, looking south along Swansea Bay – will be available for use.
"It's all set to be a very interesting night," says Brian Stokes, from co-organisers the Swansea Astronomical Society.
"Not only will visitors will have the chance to have a go at stargazing themselves using telescopes, but members of the society will be available to take questions about the wonders of the world and the universe."
The intergalactic initiative is part of the BBC's hugely popular Stargazing Live adventure.
"There is so much interest in the night sky at the moment," adds Andrew Kuhne, of the museum.
"Just fingers crossed for a clear night."
- Starts 7pm.
