The International Garden Photographer of the Year show, displaying gardens, plants, flowers and botany captured by amateur and professional admirers across the world, will open at the Ironbridge Gorge site in Shropshire in July.
It was first held at the Royal Botanic Gardens in 2008, and has toured to venues including the Palace of Monserrate in Portugal, New York’s Botanical Garden and the Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney.
“The images are truly spectacular and capture many different aspects of the garden,” said Anna Brennand of the museum, calling it a “wonderful privilege” to display the “remarkable” pictures.
“There are vivid images of plants and animals, sweeping views over majestic and intimate gardens and portraits of characters both at work and play.”
- Exhibition runs July 18 – September 1 2012.
