An historic spa which now houses displays of James Hogg and Walter Scott and tells the story of the local area. There are also lovely gardens with sculpture and picnic area.
St Ronan's Wells is an historic spa, built in 1828, which houses displays telling the story of the site and its links with the great Scottish writers Walter Scott and James Hogg, the legend of St Ronan and the history of Innerleithen. The origins of the unique Cleikum Ceremonies held in July each year are also explained.
In 2007 the surrounding gardens featured in the Community Garden Scheme of the BBC Beechgrove Garden programme and work continues to develop and enhance this lovely area which includes sculptures and picnic areas.
