Old Gala House is an impressive and unusual building, its history and fortunes spanning five centuries. Visitors can discover the story of Old Gala House, its inhabitants and the early development of the town of Galashiels. There is also a lively temporary exhibition programme, which features exhibitions on various aspects of local heritage and the visual arts. Tea and coffee are served in the Pringle Gallery and visitors can enjoy a stroll round the pleasant gardens.
Five rooms have been kept as meeting rooms and are let to clubs and societies throughout the year and Old Gala House is a wonderful setting for wedding ceremonies and photographs.
