Broughty Castle is a 15th century fort, housing fascinating displays on the life and times of Broughty Ferry and seashore life. Be intrigued by the armour in the military gallery and the history of the soldiers who were stationed in the building. Enjoy the magnificent views over the River Tay - you may even be lucky enough to spot a dolphin or two! Visit the Orchar Gallery featuring a selection of paintings from the amazing Orchar Collection - one of the most important collections of Scottish Victorian art in the country.

As a fortified and Listed building, Broughty Castle has very restricted access for people whose mobility is limited. Due to the spiral staircase, we regret that access for wheelchair-users is not possible.
