MUSA tells the story of the history of the University of St Andrews. On display you can see highlights from the University's collection of over 112,000 artefacts. The museum has four galleries and a Viewing Terrace with panoramic views over St Andrews Bay.

May They Always Flourish: Graduations at the University of St Andrews

Join us for a celebration of the event of graduation at the University of St Andrews. Discover what happens during the academic ceremony of graduation, past and present, and find out more about what students and staff wear on this important day. Explore objects from the University’s collections that range from medieval maces to academic gowns, paintings to photographs, and bow ties to the birretum (cap) used for generations in the formal ‘capping’ ceremony.‌

Doctors in the Making: Medicine at St Andrews

How have doctors learned to keep us fit and healthy? In this exhibition you’ll discover how our knowledge of the human body and healthcare has developed over time. Rarely seen items from the University’s medical collections reveal the role St Andrews has played in pioneering life-changing medical discoveries. They show how technology, equipment and the human body itself have changed the ways in which doctors treat us.
