MUSA tells the story of the history of the University of St Andrews. On display you can see highlights from the University's collection of over 112,000 artefacts. The museum has four galleries and a Viewing Terrace with panoramic views over St Andrews Bay.

May They Always Flourish: Graduations at the University of St Andrews

Join us for a celebration of the event of graduation at the University of St Andrews. Discover what happens during the academic ceremony of graduation, past and present, and find out more about what students and staff wear on this important day. Explore objects from the University’s collections that range from medieval maces to academic gowns, paintings to photographs, and bow ties to the birretum (cap) used for generations in the formal ‘capping’ ceremony.‌

Miniature Garden

Make a beautiful miniature garden in a box using sand, twigs, pine cones, pebbles and more! Materials provided but feel free to bring your own special finds. The 10:00 to 10:45 session is for children aged 3 to 6, and the 11:00 to 12:00 session is for ages 7 to 12.

Pond-Dipping

Come and explore the fascinating underwater world of the pond at this fun event for all the family with Tony Wilson. In association with the St Andrews Botanic Garden.
