McLean Museum Fun Day

  • 17 May 2014 11am-4pm

Morning dress, evening dress, fancy dress... join us for this fun, family day out revolving round all things sartorial. Dress up in your best bonnet and ballgown, or don trilby and trousers and watching what happens! How does that diamond necklace make you feel (pretty good, we reckon!) and how do people react to you when you wear a top hat or some shiny shoes? Transform yourself into whoever you want to be with some face-painting and adorn your wardrobe with a balloon hat or corsage. There will be lots of costumes to try on, the opportunity to make your own mask and take part in a quiz complete with prizes. Local band 'The Tabs' will provide a lively soundtrack to the day and you won't want to miss our 'Dress Codes: Messages of Power, Wealth and Beauty' exhibition - you might just see yourself as others see you! Refreshments will be available throughout the day.
