Music, Making & More at Perth Museums: Launch Night

  • 16 May 2014 4-10pm

Come and join us at Perth Museum for a fun-filled night of puppet making, hammer horrors, music and good, old-fashioned, family-friendly fun. Kids will be able to enjoy a ‘Magic of the Mummy’ puppet show and workshop before having a go at mummifying their own favourite teddy or dolly afterwards (curses optional!). Adults needn’t feel left out as they can also bring along a teddy (we won't tell) to get the mummy treatment. Then why not relax and channel your inner Peter Cushing while enjoying some classic horror films before 'walking like an Egyptian’ with the in-house band. Locally produced refreshments will be on hand to provide some Egyptian courage.

Music, Making & More at Perth Museums: Saturday Amulet Making - Children’s Workshop

  • 17 May 2014

Take your children on a journey through time as they explore the Secret Egypt exhibition at Perth Museum and Art Gallery. Once they have unravelled truth from myth they can let their imaginations run wild as they design and make their own protective amulets and Egyptian inspired jewellery.
