Crawl through tunnels, hunt for fossils, explore secret works and invest your savings in Scotland's famous shale oil industry. Shale Tales & Fossil Fun

Experience West Lothian’s industrial history like never before in a unique storytelling and craft extravaganza that the whole family can enjoy!

Kids and adults alike can see shale mining come to life before their very eyes at the interactive storytelling and shadow puppet sessions. If you and your little ones prefer to be a bit more hands-on then how about learning a few fun fossil facts before trying your hand at making your very own fossil or get busy with beeswax and learn the local candlemaking technique.

Free entry to F of M event with admission price to Almond Valley – £6.50 for adults, £5.00 for children aged 3-15 years and senior citizens. Family tickets –
