As pencils across the UK get sharpened in preparation for the sixth annual Big Draw, the 24 Hour Museum zone for kids has got thoroughly into the spirit.

The Big Draw aims to get kids everywhere scribbling and we've joined forces with the organisation behind the whole thing, the Campaign for Drawing, to create a special page packed with interactive artistic games and things to do.

"The Big Draw is a really exciting initiative involving hundreds of museums and galleries and hundreds of thousands of children and families every year," said Anra Kennedy, 24 HM Head of Learning and Show Me Editor.

"We are delighted to be working with the Campaign for Drawing giving them a means to reach children online."

The 2005 Big Draw kicks off with a huge national launch on October 2 in London when eight museums on Exhibition Road in South Kensington will be joining forces.

On October 8/9 11 regional launches in Birmingham, Bradford, Bristol, Chatham, Edinburgh, Manchester, Newcastle, Newtownards, Norwich, Nottingham and Swansea will get things going in the rest of the country.

"The games we are featuring from ArtisanCam and Access Art are really creative and will inspire children to get drawing, getting them in the mood for October," added Anra.
