Museums at Night 2010: Medieval Leicester Night at the Museum, Jewry Wall Museum, Leicester, May 15th 2010

If you’re feeling a little tired of the pace of modern living why not take a step back in time to experience a medieval evening at the Jewry Wall Museum for this Museums at Night?

Amongst the delights on offer will be a chance to experience traditional glass painting using medieval stained glass techniques and an opportunity to get in role in full medieval garb.

There will also be expert re-enacting and the chance to learn more about the trials and tribulations of the medieval lifestyle, the perfect weekend tonic!

The museum and bath house sites will be open all evening for the event, displaying a wealth of illuminated Roman remains. Visitors arriving at 6.00 or 7.30pm will be able to take a guided trip around Leicester’s medieval haunts in the safe hands of a Blue Badge Guide.

All admission, tours and activities are free and refreshments will be available for a small charge.
