Culture24 needs you to take pictures at Museums at Night 2010 events taking place around the country to help us build an online photographic archive of the event on Flickr.

If you are going along to any of the exciting events taking place across the Museums at Night 2010 weekend (May 14-16) then take some snaps and upload them to our Flickr group and you could be chosen to be part of a special online exhibition.

A panel of photography experts will be selecting the best photographs for the online exhibition in July and you could be featured on the Culture24 website like last year’s winner Julie Kertesz.

The three categories for this year’s Flickr event are:

  • Nightscape: images of places and venues at night.
  • Action: capture what is happening in the venue.
  • Objects: pictures of museum and gallery artefacts or objects, or any other ‘still life’ picture.

When you upload make sure you tag each of your pictures with the venue, date and category and of course the #museumsatnight tag.

The event is open to all UK residents. Only people personally connected to the judges are unable to enter. Members of staff at participating venues are welcome to enter. The Museums at Night weekend runs from Friday May 14 until Sunday May 16 2010. The selected photographs for the Culture24 exhibition will be announced in July 2010.

Full terms and conditions can be found on the Flickr page.
