Museums at Night 2013, Culture24's festival of after-hours events in UK cultural venues, is finally here. From Thursday May 16 to Saturday May 18, venues right across the UK are opening their doors for a vast range of exciting nocturnal happenings...
Once again the evening festival reveals the real diversity and creativity of the UK’s Museum, gallery and heritage sector. This year we have 582 Museums at Night events taking place at 411 museums, galleries, heritages sites, libraries, archives and historic buildings right across the UK.
There’s everything from nightclubs in museums, tours of historic properties to re-enactments, talks, screenings and sleepovers in palaces. There are even city-wide and regional celebrations that take in a multitude of venues and experiences.
Some of the events are free, some are ticketed, a few are sold out - but there is still plenty to see and do, wherever you are.
Use the search box on the Museums at Night home page to navigate your way through all of the events and find something that suits your interests. You can search by subject or location or date. Or if you prefer you can load the whole list.
To help your quest, here is a handy list of links to event listings based around some popular subjects and themes (links launch in a new window):
