Museums at Night 2011: Discover History in Action

Museums at Night 2011 has a feast of fascinating tales for history enthusiasts.

Fans of industry can see the 122-year-old in steam at its eponymous museum in Tottenham or a catch a Cornish winding engine in motion at who are joining forces with for a special night shift.

You can also work the night shift at Mill Meece Pumping Station, Staffordshire who are promising visitors the warmth of the engine room, the regular beat of the great engines, the slow tick of the flow meters.
