Throughout this week until Sunday June 22 thousands of children are getting the opportunity to unleash their creativity in galleries, museums, schools, arts and community centres all over the UK for Children’s Art Week 2014.

From animation to screen-printing, photography to puppetry, Children’s Art Week gives children and young people the chance to work with artists who inspire them and create their own works of art whilst discovering the endless possibilities of creativity that the visual arts can offer.

‘Poses/Poses/Poses’
Artist Bruce Mclean made a famous artwork called Pose Work for Plinth. Join firstsite to recreate this artwork with you as the poser.

There will be kings, queens, princes, princesses, knights, armour makers, gaolers, cooks, stone masons, seamstresses, entertainers and many more. ‘Birthday bunting’
Compton Verney is 10 years old this year and to celebrate they are attempting to break a world record by making the longest line of bunting. Help them celebrate and contribute to their world record attempt by making flags in the Discovery Room to add to their bunting line.
