Nature in Art

This is the world's first museum dedicated exclusively to fine, decorative and applied art inspired by nature from any period, any culture and in any media. It already has work spanning 1500 years from over 50 countries and cultures by over 600 artists, some of which can be seen on the website.The collection is held in Wallsworth House, a Georgian mansion in Gloucestershire whose history is illustrated on the site. In addition to permanent collection information there is a full listing of temporary exhibitions, art courses and artists in residence whose own websites and portfolios are often linked to.The purpose built education centre in the grounds of the museum provides a setting for art-based workshops as well as nature trails, pond-dipping studies and environmental activities. There is an online booking and enquiry form schools, which enables teachers to book preliminary visits, museum quiz sheets, slideshows, hands-on activities and theme days. Special events, future events and children's activities are also listed with full details of content, times and prices.
