Are you a talented animator? We need someone to produce a short animation (any technique, any style) to promote Museums at Night - our national weekend of late night museum openings. The intention of the animation is to get people to visit the Museums at Night page on the Culture24 website to find an event that they want to go to. Culture24 has teamed up with animators Kanoti to offer £1,000 for the winning submission.
What is Museums at Night? Exactly that – museums, galleries and heritage sites all over the country will be opening late and staging unique events. Tying in with the European event of the same name (La Nuit des Musées), it is a chance to enjoy a great night out and do something different with your evening.
Museums, galleries and heritage sites are able to stage whatever kind of event or late opening that suits their venue. The range of events on offer is as diverse as the thousands of museum collections in the UK. There are sleepovers, ghost hunts, torchlight tours, illuminations, pop up bars and many other kinds of entertainment. Check out the Museums at Night (www.culture24.org.uk/museumsatnight) page to get a flavour of what it's about.
Your animation can communicate the general concept or it can focus on a specific aspect or activity. Whatever you do it should excite and inspire people to find out more and take part.
The animation should be humorous and fun!

Submitted animations will be posted on youtube and the winning animation will be turned into a MPU advert to advertise the event.
