The Fleet Air Arm Museum’s 2010 Model Show, a premier event in the model enthusiasts' calendar, is set to attract over 2,000 visitors when it opens on February 13.

Majoring on plastic models, the show will feature over 130 traders and clubs exhibiting everything from model aircraft, boats, trains, figures, tanks and dioramas.

Airfix, the doyen of British model making, will be on hand to run a ‘Make and Paint’ workshop and to sponsor competitions designed to recognise high achievement in modelling across all disciplines. Model enthusiasts should bring along their best efforts for the chance of walking away with a prize.

A highlight of the show will be a radio controlled flying display by the award winning BMFA (British Model Flying Association, pictured above) whose previous flying spectaculars have included jet powered model aircraft and an internationally acclaimed model helicopter stunt team.

Doors open at 10.00am and normal museum admission prices apply. There is no additional charge for the show. Book tickets online at www.fleetairarm.com until February 10.
