
Ten contemporary artists await your vote to see where they will be appearing for Museums at Night 2012.
***Voting is now closed - competition results will be announced on Culture24 on March 7***We had over 20,000 votes cast for the Connect10 Museums at Night competition. Galleries, heritage sites and museums up and down the country submitted their applications and we asked the public to decide where the Connect10 contemporary artists will appear during the weekend of May 18, 19 and 20.
Working closely with the ten artists, Culture24 selected the very best ideas to go forward for the public vote.
The vote closed at
5pm on March 5 2012. The winning venues and their events will be announced on March 7 2012.
Here's the list of artists: just click on each highlighted link below to find out where they could be going. Claire Barclay, futuristic Scottish sculptor whose carefully balanced and beautiful installations have been exhibited in Tate Britain and Edinburgh's Fruitmarket Gallery. London's
Old Operating Theatre and
Cheltenham Art Gallery have both devised innovative events for this fascinating artist.
Bompas & Parr, the Jellymongers, create spectacular culinary experiences ranging from architectural jellies to lakes of cocktails.
