Manchester's Urbis has always been one of the most cutting-edge arts centres in the UK, and for Museums at Night 2009 they've announced three nights of gigs from some of the most respected and disparate new acts in the business.

Sheffield producer Toddla T has remixed the likes of Ladyhawke, Little Boots, Hot Chip and Tricky in the past 12 months

There's a show from rarely-seen hip-hop group Antipop Consortium (last spotted supporting Radiohead) on Thursday and an electronic extravaganza headlined by Toddla T, one of the hottest up-and-coming producers on the scene, on Friday.

Glasgow DJ Hudson Mohawke was the youngest ever DMC finalist at the age of 15

A night of fuzzy-guitared experimentalism from a cluster of American indie bands on Saturday is described as "irresistible" by organisers thanks to the inclusion of Marnie Stern, whose finger-tapping guitar precision saw The New York Times call her debut record "the year's most exciting rock and roll album." Animal Collective labelmates Arial Pink and Times New Viking support.

Psychedelic Los Angeles performer Daedelus has worked with Madlib and Erykah Badu

It's part of Futuresonic, appearing for the tenth and final year in the city before it resurfaces as Future Everything in 2010.

Already nominated for this year’s prestigious Lever Prize, the expansive "urban festival" of art, music and creativity features 250 artists across 100 venues and 30 events.
