Connect10, matches ten contemporary artists with ten museums and galleries for a series of special one-off Museums at Night events over the weekend of May 18,19 and 20 2012.
Museums and galleries were invited to look at Culture24's list of ten and decide which artist they would like, what they would like them to do and why they think their museum or gallery would be a good place to host them.
The deadline for museums to come up with their ideas and make their applications has now passed and
voting is now open.As well as being a great audience development opportunity for venues to motivate their fans and visitors to bring an exciting artist to their town, the Connect10 project will also result in some innovative and entertaining Museums at Night events right across the UK.
Apart from winning the artist, each succesful venue will receive a £500 bursary to help them stage their event, while those that don't win an artist will still receive £100 to support an alternative Museums at Night event.
