2011 has been a typically boisterous year at Watford Museum, the Hertfordshire town’s highly-popular cultural centre which has forged an excellent reputation for putting on prolific and imaginative event programmes.
No surprise, then, that their 30th anniversary season includes an illuminative response to Museums at Night, featuring a live performance from Minnie Birch, an all-girl trio who say they are working on a special song for the occasion.
BAFTA nominees Mewlab – animation duo Shaun Clark and Kim Noce – will literally be lighting up the building with a screening filtered onto the outside of the venue, soundtracked by composer and musician Hutch Demouilpied.
Painter Graham Boyd’s exhibition, Space2, will be on show inside the gallery, and there will also be a licensed bar for good measure.
- Runs 5pm-9pm. Admission free. See the full listing.
