Festival: Victorian Flower Festival at St Katherine’s, Lincoln from May 28 until May 31, 2010
St Katherine’s, the former Victorian Church that serves as a cultural centre for the people of Lincoln is holding a Victorian Flower Festival this bank holiday weekend.
Featuring exhibits inspired by Victorian themes including Victorian Christmas, home life, gardens and gardening, the Great Exhibition, and the Industrial Revolution organisers are promising a weekend that explores the language of flowers and why they were so popular in Victorian times.

There will be craft activities including making flower brooches, decorations and posies to enjoy and on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, visitors will be able to listen to a variety of music. Drinks, home made cakes and sandwiches will be on sale during the festival and visitors can also enjoy the interactive displays, which tell the story of the site.
The Victorian Flower Festival will be open from 10.00am – 4.00pm on Friday, Saturday and Monday and from 1.00pm – 4.00pm on Sunday. Admission is by donation and there will be a small charge for activities.
