Get crafty in Norwich this weekend
Robert Toppes, the fabric salesman owner of the Dragon Hall during the 15th century, was one of the forefathers of craft endeavour in Norwich.
In the spirit of the man, modern day organisers at the Medieval centre have invited some of the region’s best up-and-coming artists and makers to make up a market full of contemporary art, craft and design, hand-picked according to quality and style.
There’s knitwear, silver jewellery, rug rags, glass beads, ceramic and vintage recycled jewellery among enough original designs to make anyone fancy their chances of snapping up some early Christmas presents, as well as free feltmaking taster sessions for adults and children who fancy having a go. Toppes would undoubtedly have approved.
Runs 10am-5pm. Admission £2.50/£1 (free for under-16s).
