You can even test your strength and listen to the Victorian Top 20. Relax amidst the splendour of our Victorian Gallery and admire the paintings, pottery and fine art. The LifeTimes Gallery tells the story of Salford past and present through the voices and memories of local residents. Come and see what you can discover about life in times gone by.
The Victorian gallery has a number of distinguished paintings and a series of marble statues, specially treated to allow hands-on explorations.
Our other galleries are host to a number of interactive, family-friendly and contemporary exhibitions.

There's a rainbow in the road: Caroline Johnson
This is Caroline Johnson's first solo show in a public gallery. Her highly graphic, graceful paintings and drawings reflect both the vibrancy of recent changes and the history of Salford and Manchester. Caroline's contemporary urban artworks give a fresh interpretation to the cities' architectural icons while discovering the hidden charm of overlooked corners

Salford Art Club annual exhibition 2013

This year society members have created works based around the theme of 'Salford urban and rural'. Salford Art Club welcomes new members and meet at Salford Museum and Art Gallery on Wednesday evenings.

Members of Swinton and District Amateur Photographic Society have been busy since their last exhibition at Salford Museum and Art Gallery.

The club welcomes new members and meet on Monday evenings at 7.30pm at The Agnes Hopkins Memorial Centre, Swinton.
