Now fully open after a complete makeover, the Museum stands high on Castle Hill, in the shadow of the Castle Keep, an image which has dominated Clitheroe's skyline for over 800 years.

Explore our 'hands-on' galleries, collections and displays which reveal amazing stories and take you on a journey through 350 millions years of history.

Medieval Banquet

Celebrate Clitheroe Castle's Medieval History with its very own medieval banquet. Traditional food will be served and there will be medieval musicians playing traditional instruments, singing and of course medieval dancing. Our costumed hosts will ensure your evening is a delight and will teach you a few traditional dancing steps and tell the story behind medieval food and drink. Taking place in the splendid setting of Clitheroe Castle, this promises to be a great evening out for all the family.
