Quarry Bank Mill is a first generation water powered cotton mill built in 1784, see the waterwheel, steam engines and cotton machinery working daily.
Guided tours of the Apprentice House show what life was like for the pauper children who worked in the Mill.
Quarry Bank Mill is set within Styal Country Estate.

Quarry Bank Mill archives are open to researchers, Monday to Friday 9 - 5 by prior appointment.
Guided tours are available for schools or adult groups by prior booking through the Education Department.

The archive is open by prior appointment Mondays to Fridays.
