Stoockport Art Gallery presents a stimulating programme of temporary exhibitions and a permanent display of Stockport's art collection.
A diverse range of workshops and activities run alongside this programme, providing opportunities to explore themes within the exhibitions.

If you plan to visit during the week then take a look at the car park map for alternative car parks close by.

Train
Stockport Station is a ten minute walk away - just follow the path from McDonald's, turn right and walk up the hill. You will pass the Town Hall on your left hand side and the Art Gallery will be in front of you at the main set of traffic lights.

Bus
The 192 bus travels from Manchester Piccadilly to Stockport via the A6 - alight at the bus stop near Stockport College, which is next to the Art Gallery.

There is also a free bus service, called Metroshuttle, which connects Stockport town centre with major attractions. This runs on Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6:30pm, as well as on Sunday between 10:30am and 5:30pm.

June began to paint seriously in 1962 and gained a degree in Fine Art from John Moores University in 2000. June is a traditional artist by background and temperament and has gained experience in all types of media.
