Our museum will be going back home to its original location at the listed former headquarters on Albert Embankment.

The complex process of packing, storing and auditing the museum's contents is now underway. This means we can no longer accept any items, either as a donation or loan.

It is estimated it could take between three and five years until the new museum opens.

Visit our museum in Southwark and see how firefighting has developed over the last 340 years.

It holds a wealth of information and exhibits depicting the history of firefighting in London from the Great Fire of London in 1666 to the present day.

We are also setting up a friends of the museum support group - find out how you can become a member. We can also help you with individual research.
