This world-class Museum opened April 2006. Audio-guides included in entrance fee (outside The Championships). Many special effects and interactives including our 'ghost' of John McEnroe, the 200 degree cinema, touch screens and many original films used to showcase the world's greatest tennis collection. NEW ZONE: CentreCourt360 opened September 2009.
Behind-the-scenes tours take place daily for most of the year and give access to areas out-of-bounds during The Championships. Highlights include Centre Court (from July 2009, No.1 Court, The Water Gardens, The Millennium Building, and the Press Interview Room. If Centre Court is unavailable the BBC Television studio will replace it. Tours do not take place around The Championships.

THE MUSEUM WON A SPECIAL COMMENDATION IN THE EUROPEAN MUSEUM OF THE YEAR 2008, AND WAS WINNER OF THE GOLD AWARD AS BEST TOURISM EXPERIENCE IN LONDON IN THE VISIT LONDON AWARDS FOR 2007, WITH AN ADDITIONAL BRONZE AWARD IN THE ACCESSIBILITY CATEGORY.
It is open daily 10.00-17.00 (last entry 16.30).
There are daily Tours. Departure times vary - please phone for details. Pre-booking is strongly recommended for the tours.
PLEASE NOTE THAT NO TOURS TAKE PLACE AROUND THE PERIOD OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Closed 19 and 26 June, 4/5 July, 24-26 December 2011 & 1 January 2012. Tours do not run from 13 June to 8 July 2011 inclusive. No access to Centre Court for visitors from 13 June to 8 July

Audio tours are available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Croatian and Mandarin. Audio guides are not available during The Championships.
Behind-the-scenes tours are available for groups in English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Indonesian, Malay, Hungarian, Russian, Flemish and Italian. Sign interpetation is in UK Sign.

Group visits are available for the Museum and Tour by appointment.

Library open to the public by appointment only.

The Museum is open only to tournament ticket holders during The Championships.

The collection dates from 1555, and is widely seen as the world's greatest tennis collection open to the public. New items are added each year from the current Champions. There is a large collection of art-deco, and also a huge variety of graphic art which is displayed on rotation in the Gallery.

'The Queue Exhibition' at Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum

The exhibition will celebrate that most British of institutions The Queue at the Wimbledon Championships. It will contain artefacts collected from those queuing and provide tips for those who might find themselves in it. This is an affectionate look at a slightly eccentric practice.
