There's something for everyone at Belsay. Explore a spectacular medieval castle, a Greek Revival 19th-century mansion and thirty acres of stunning Grade I gardens linking the two. In the gardens, unaltered for 200 years, you'll discover thousands of exotic species, famous rhododendrons and the magical Quarry Garden, with ravines, pinnacles and sheer rock faces inspired by the quarries of Sicily.

Knight's Tournament

Marvel at our noble knights as they take on the ultimate medieval contest at Belsay Hall, Castle & Gardens this August Bank Holiday Weekend. Swords will be wielded, archery skills tested and helmets battered. Soak up the sights and sounds of the encampments and laugh out loud at our silly jester at this thrilling tournament.
