Authentic 18th century plantings - The Painshill Heritage Plant Project is in its first stage - American Roots - which will culminate in an exhibition in the walled garden in July 2005. Working closeley with Historic Bartram Garden in Philidelphia, the Arnold Arboretum at Harvard University and Monticello in West Virginia, Painshill will establish a showcase for its collection of authentically sourced North American plants. Following the footsteps of John Bartram, Peter Collinson and Charles Hamilton, Painshill will show trees, shrubs and flowers with known provenace, some sourced from Bartram's original collecting sites on the eastern seaboard of North America.

Painshill Morning Lecture Series (Adults only)
The Restoration and Recreation of the Painshill Crystal Grotto by Michael Gove CEO Painshill: The talk will cover the research and recording methods employed in developing the design for the restoration and recreation of the main chamber. The Grotto will be open for a limited period at the end of the talk for a private viewing.
