Welcome to the waterside museum of Broadland life at the historic and picturesque Stalham Staithe. We are family friendly with trails and activities for children. Bring a picnic to enjoy by the river and make a day of it.

Visit our shop and cafe for Broadland memorabilia and light refreshments. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

Take a river trip on our steam boat, 'Falcon', Tues, Wed, Thurs and event days and Sun to Fri in August. See website for full details.

Our story takes you from the Roman peat diggers to the sailors, tourists and environmentalists of today. See how this landscape was made, meet Broadland characters and discover the boats of the Broads. Don't miss the 2016 special exhibition, Broadland's High Streets Through Time.
