The Deep is an environmental and educational charity dedicated to understanding and protecting the world's oceans. The Deep aims to help raise aspirations and provide inspiration for all our visitors and is committed to Lifelong Learning, research and sustainable environmental programmes. We offer a range of unique activities for all types of learners; so whether you are a teacher, a student or just a knowledge seeker, why not embark on a voyage of discovery at The Deep, where learning is all part of the fun!

Additional info

Wheelchair & pushchair access to all public areas. Basic signing for the deaf is available on request, with advanced notice. The Deep provides tactile guides for blind and partially sighted visitors, which are available for hire from Reception. Limited car & coach parking is available as well as a bus link for the City Centre. The exhibition is suitable for all ages.

See 7 species of shark, huge marine dinosaurs, Conger Eels, Rays and hundreds of other stunning sea creatures. Witness the waters of the world from the world's only underwater lift and Europe's deepest viewing tunnel! Learn of the history of the seas and the threats they now face.
