Come and see simple combinations of wildflowers that can easily be replicated in your garden. A variety of growing habitats are shown, including a waste area, that demonstrate the range of places and surfaces where wildflowers will thrive. Let this part of the centre encourage you and act as your inspiration to have a go in your own garden. There is also a wildlife pond, filled with rainwater from the roof, that contains wildlife such as dragonflies and newts.

Working Nursery
The former walled garden of the Gladstone estate is now a place where you can see some of the work involved in harvesting and cleaning wildflower seed grown locally from over 100 acres of fields around Merseyside. This area is also where about 60 different species of plants are grown and prepared for sale in the Centre's shop and via mail order.

There is also a wooden compost barn, built using shaker construction methods, that contains a range of advice and information about composting and a working wormery.
