The centre is accessible to all and has a hearing loop system. The unusual design of the visitor centre offers practical solutions to environmental problems as well as demonstrating ideas in new technology such as solar water heating. It houses an exhibition, café, shop and a meeting room which is available for hire. There is a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities in both the ladies and gentlemans toilets. No dogs are allowed in the centre except for service dogs.
