Flashback is a series of archival exhibitions that will be presented both online and in MK Gallery’s Project Space whilst the main building is being expanded. Making use of archival material, Flashback will provide an opportunity to reflect on the Gallery’s history by reviewing its exhibitions, events and projects of the past 16 years.

Launching on 8 October 2015, exactly 16 years since MK Gallery officially opened to the public, the first of the Flashback monthly displays will focus on the Gallery’s launch and the inaugural exhibition by the internationally renowned British artists Gilbert & George.

MK Gallery would love to hear from anyone with memories, stories, photographs, signed books, printed materials, or anything else relating to the Gallery and its history, for possible use in the project. Any original material selected will be returned to lenders afterwards.
